Delivered by Post Super and ScreenSkills, the Budgeting for Post Production programme is designed to develop practical budgeting skills for Film and High End Television. The programme covers how to structure post-production budgets, turn schedules and workflows into costs, identify risks and contingency, compare supplier quotes, manage budget changes and communicate budget decisions with confidence.
The programme combines live online learning, an in-person practical workshop, follow-up online training and self-paced e-learning, with Film and High End Television pathways available. In-person training takes place in London, Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow.
The programme is aimed at UK-based freelance Post Coordinators beginning to take on budget responsibility, Junior Post Supervisors, early-career Post Supervisors and experienced Post Supervisors looking to refresh their skills or address a specific gap. Applicants should have at least two professional post-production credits.

📣 Calling HETV Producers, Line Producers, Production Managers and Production Coordinators in Wales!
Delivered by NFTS Scotland and Post Super, in partnership with Gorilla Post Production, this ScreenSkills-funded course is designed to help HETV production professionals build their understanding of post-production, from prep and planning through to final delivery.
The programme covers post-production workflows for picture, sound and VFX, post-production terminology, scheduling and budgeting, delivery requirements and deliverables, as well as communication, leadership, negotiation and relationship management within the post-production process.
The course combines four live online sessions, an in-person day at Gorilla Post Production, self-paced learning and access to Post Super’s workflow and post essentials courses. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a real post-production environment, meet industry peers and build your confidence working with post.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have a stronger understanding of how production decisions affect post-production, the roles and responsibilities within post, and how to work more effectively and confidently with post-production teams.

Lead by our very own co-founder, Gemma Nicholson, the NFTS Post Production Supervision Certificate is designed to develop highly trained Post Production professionals, building the technical, organisational and people skills needed to progress in Post. Across the part-time course, students will explore the full Post Production process, from production and DIT workflows through to Picture Post, VFX, Sound, Music, Accounts, Legal, scheduling and budgeting.
The course combines weekly online webinars with five face-to-face Saturdays at the NFTS’s London base in Golden Square, alongside guest sessions and opportunities to connect with industry professionals.
Applicants must be 18+ and have previous experience in some area of production. Scholarships and bursaries are available to eligible student

The 17th edition of the project-based workshop is taking place in Vienna this November, bringing together producers and post-production supervisors for a hands-on look at the technical, financial and creative side of post-production within an international co-production context.
Across the programme, participants will work together to build a tailored post-production workflow, schedule and budget for a feature or series, supported by experienced industry professionals.
For producers (with project): 1,720 EUR (+ VAT if applicable)
For post-production supervisors: 1,590 EUR (+ VAT if applicable)
APostLab offers a 20% discount to European participants who are residents in a Low Capacity country.
Participation fee includes: tuition fee, accommodation, meals and local transport (if necessary). It does not include travel costs to and from the hosting country or fares from and to the airport.
