🎬 The Best-Kept Secret of the London Film Festival

Sally and I struck gold when we discovered the Industry Passes to the BFI London Film Festival. Honestly, they’re the best-kept secret of the whole event. Every October, Southbank fills with film enthusiasts eager to catch the first glimpse of the year’s most talked-about premieres, but what most people don’t realise is that anyone working in film or the wider screen sectors can experience it all from the inside with an Industry Pass.

  • Press and Delegates Hub, your personal online site to book screenings, manage your calendar, and plan your schedule throughout the festival
  • Optional Digital Goody Bag with discounts and offers from festival partners
  • Everything about the pass is designed to help you experience the festival like an insider, watching early screenings, meeting other professionals, and planning your days seamlessly through the online hub.

Pricing:

  • Early Bird (until 2 September): ÂŁ135
  • Standard (until 3 October): ÂŁ158
  • Late (from 4 October onwards): ÂŁ199

For the level of access it provides, the early bird price is incredible value.

Experiencing the Festival

Sally and I were amazed by how much access we had. Sally actually saw 30 films across three weeks. We used the Delegate Directory to connect with others in the industry and chat about the year’s biggest titles, and the standby queues meant we still got into films that were technically sold out.

The Press and Delegates Hub quickly became our best friend. It’s the kind of site you keep open in a tab on your phone for the whole festival. It has everything in one place: your bookings, schedule, and screening information. The digital viewing library was a great backup, but we preferred seeing everything in person. We didn’t really use the goody bag offers, but that’s probably because we were too busy dashing between screenings and carpets.

Even with both of us working during the festival, we managed to see everything we wanted and still have those spontaneous chats with other attendees that make LFF so special.

Why It’s Worth It

For the price, the Industry Pass is unbeatable. The early bird rate gave us access to more screenings than we could possibly attend and the flexibility to experience the festival at our own pace. If you’re in the industry and want to experience LFF beyond just being in the audience, this is the way to do it.

We’ll absolutely be getting Industry Passes again next year, and we’d recommend you do too. It’s the ultimate insider’s ticket to the London Film Festival experience!
