ScreenSkills HETV - Post Production Offer

For productions that contribute to the HETV Skills Fund there are many programmes that can be accessed to support the growth and development of freelance crew in all areas of Post. These include:
Trainee Finder
From a pool of carefully selected trainees, we can provide Edit trainees and provide a salary contribution of £325 per week.
Make a Move
Make a Move is a continuing professional development programme, aimed at helping productions to support on-the-job training and progression for mid to senior level crew stepping into a role that is new to them. Funding can cover the costs of short courses, mentoring, shadowing and salary. Productions can access up to £10,000 per person or £15,000 if working as a HOD.
Leaders of Tomorrow
A three-year inclusion programme focused on providing comprehensive and tailored support to mid-level professionals working in high-end TV. The aim is to give them the tools to progress to a senior level, decision-making role in the future. There are currently 12 Leaders of Tomorrow working in post available for on the job training opportunities on high end TV shows. Productions can claim funding towards their salary costs as they train up.
Job share
Funding to support professionals wishing to job share on an HETV production. A contribution of £8,000 is available to cover the sixth cross over day for each pair to enable the job share to be effective.
Music editors
10 days of funding per person (£200 per shadowing day) for those who completed the HETV 2-day Music Editor training to enable them to shadow a Music Editor working in HETV
2nd Assistant editors
Funding towards placements on an HETV production of up to 8 weeks for professionals who completed the Assistant Editor training programme (salary contribution £1000 per week x 8 weeks per person)
For Freelancers
Bursaries
Cash grants to remove barriers for those needing help to get into/ or progress into the screen industries.
Bursaries can be used to cover the cost of training fees, access, accommodation during training, travel to training, driving lessons, childcare, software and equipment.
E-learning
Across a host of subjects and to improve your knowledge and become more effective at work
Skills Checklists
