Payam started at Bang as a sound designer and effects editor, gradually moving into supervising. His first show as a supervisor was Devils Season 3, through the ScreenSkills Leaders of Tomorrow programme.
“My role is about communication - with editors, composers, mixers, ADR recordists - and helping bring everything together for the final mix. We have a Dolby Atmos room in London for most of our shows, and sometimes I travel to Cardiff, where I love working closely with the team there.”
Bang’s dual facilities are closely integrated, allowing seamless work across London and Cardiff.

Rosie Clark - Bookings Coordinator
“The best part of the job is definitely the people you meet - both our staff and the incredible talent, from actors to directors. Some of my happiest memories are our social get-togethers.”

She also loves Bang’s rooftop terrace: “It’s a great place to relax in the summer, have a beer or margarita, and chat with colleagues.”

“With facilities in Cardiff and London, we can source local or international talent for any dialect or language. One of our shows involved fourteen different languages — and we handled it all seamlessly.”
Bang is about to begin renovations to add open-room ADR, a fully accessible reception, and upgraded facilities across both sites. Doug recalls a memorable moment when Russell T Davies cut the ribbon at their Cardiff facility, joking: “Welcome to Bang — the ideal venue for a gangland killing.”
