Inside Native Audio

For anyone new to Native Audio, who are you and what do you do?

Native Audio is a bespoke audio post production facility working in feature film, home entertainment, animation, installations, language dubbing and ADR capture.

Tell us the story of how Native Audio came to be

Greg Junovich - Managing Director : I came on board as a freelancer back in the early 2000’s. Gradually I took on more and more responsibility and became a small shareholder in the studio. By 2013 I was the sole owner and luckily for me a lot of our team have been around for almost as long!

The studio itself has been at our current location for over 35 years. Beginning as the legendary Airforce Studios, where some of the country's most iconic records were made, Native Audio has continuously evolved to become today's cutting-edge audio-post facility. We’re centrally located with easy access to the CBD and other post facilities.

Tell us about the space you have here and what it allows you to do. What services do you offer?

Our facility is very flexible, allowing us to tailor an approach for any requirements from a production. We have multiple edit suites, ADR stage, Foley stage, three 5.1 mix stages and an Atmos theatre for final immersive mixing. Offering everything from commercial packages right through to full editorial + mix packages for feature films.

Can you tell us about one of your favourite project/ moments at Native Audio

Ariana Mirus - Senior Audio Post Producer, ADR Post Producer : Working in the film and television industry can lend itself to some strange requests from time to time. We are first and foremost an audio post production studio, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also utilise our skills to make magic happen. One of my favourite things about working with this team is when an unconventional request comes through, we’re able to sit down, talk about it, and make it happen. We’ve been asked to add multi camera shoots to our records, go to live events to record for spatial audio, reset our mix theatre as a shooting “sound stage” or set up remote ADR recording facilities at local film lots. 90% of the time, we’re in our suites doing what we do best, but every once in a while, we get the opportunity to do something a little different.

What are the biggest strengths of Native Audio as a company?

Greg: The team. Our people genuinely care about our clients, the projects, and the wider studio community. When you have that as your base, everything flows from there.Check out some of our work available in the UK:
