Call for research participants: AI in UK television post-production

Jul 21
Are you a post supervisor, assistant editor, editor, sound designer, colourist or VFX artist working in UK television post-production?

Researchers at the University of Salford are interviewing post-production practitioners about how AI tools, from the everyday ones used for workflow and admin to the newer generative kind, are changing their sector. We want to hear how these tools are affecting craft, judgement and working conditions, from the people whose work they touch, whether you reach for them constantly or keep them at arm's length.

We'd like to talk to people across the sector: freelancers and staff, working for broadcasters, indies or facilities houses, at any grade.

Taking part means one interview of up to an hour, online or in person, whenever suits you. You choose how your contribution is attributed, including staying anonymous if you prefer, and you can change your mind or withdraw afterwards.

The study has University of Salford ethics approval. Full details are available on request.
