UNIT, the independent longform and shortform studio provided VFX services both on set and during post production, for the genre-defying comedy drama BAIT created by and starring Riz Ahmed.
In collaboration with Jax Media & Amazon MGM Studios for Amazon Prime Video, the Prime original is set to launch globally on 25 March 2026, with the six-part series following struggling actor Shah Latif as his life spirals after a career-defining audition thrusts him into the public spotlight.
UNIT delivered VFX work for season 1 of Riz Ahmed’s debut project, ensuring the visual language was consistent, and supported the growing tension as the story developed. The UNIT team, overseen by VFX Supervisor Nuno Pereira, Head of Production / Executive Producer Tania De Sousa and supported by Producers Wil Male & Karl Kuehn, delivered seamless work across the 6 episodes bringing this unique story to life.
Blending satire, psychological drama and social commentary, Bait explores themes of identity, fame and perception, as personal and public narratives collide across a high-pressure, fast-unfolding story set in contemporary London and shining a spotlight on the British Pakistani community.
Bait will premiere in full on Amazon Prime Video following its debut at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, marking it as one of the platform’s standout original releases of the year.
